Whole chicken
A roasted whole chicken is probably one of the easiest meals to make and if you have left overs they can be frozen for many more meals to come. Rinse it, pat it dry, rub it with your favorite fat or oil and seasoning. Add vegetables or roast alone. Make sure to roast our chickens at 350°F for an hour and a half or so or until the internal temperature is 165° F.
We suggest thawing in the refrigerator overnight and brining in salt water or apple cider vinegar before slow roasting.
We raise chickens when it is warm and we can get the chicks onto grass as quickly as we can. Don’t be fooled by the free range chickens available in March or April because they never saw any grass or bugs in their life. Our chickens are seasonal because of this, we want to provide you with the most flavorful, healthy, exercised, nutrient-dense chicken you have ever had. Our chickens are supplemented with a diverse organic food and they range on grass in our organic pastures from the time they are 3 weeks old and have their little wing feathers.
